Sales people often look at the time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s as dead selling time. Yet, there is only one reason why deals aren’t done this time of year. Listen to this episode of the Sales Management Minute to find out that reason.

The lights…the sounds…the smells…The holiday season is in the air! Salespeople everywhere are preparing for the hibernation period from Thanksgiving to New Years.

After all, there aren’t any buying decisions being made this time of year. Or are there? It’s a great time to slow down and dream about what will be accomplished next year. Or is it?

While the mediocre rest, the top performers rise and capture the opportunity. After all, there is only one reason why buying decisions are not made this time of year. And, that reason, my friends, is because you believe it to be true.

It’s a great time to sell! People are in a festive mood and oh by the way…they are in the habit of buying. Been to the stores lately? Don’t let your mind trick you into believing that there aren’t deals to be had right now. Use this time to get a leg up on the competition!
